Monopoly Roulette Rules

All the official rules of Evolution Gaming's game show: single-zero European roulette, the payout table, how bonus numbers work, the Community Chest and the Monopoly Bonus on the animated 3D board.

How the game is structured

Monopoly Roulette is built on a classic European roulette with 37 pockets (0 to 36) and a single zero. This is the player-friendly variant compared with the American double-zero version, because the house edge stays limited to 2.7% on the classic bets. Two layers of game-specific innovation sit on top of that base:

  • An internal slot machine that, each round, deals between 3 and 7 bonus numbers, Community Chest symbols and random multipliers.
  • Two interactive bonus phases — the Community Chest Bonus (3 cards) and the Monopoly Bonus (3D board) — triggered when the ball settles on a marked square.

The round plays out live from an Evolution studio fitted with 4K cameras. A professional dealer runs the table, physically spins the wheel and hosts the bonus phases. A standard round lasts about 60 seconds on average (90 seconds with a bonus phase). Roughly twenty rounds are playable per hour.

Payouts and bet types

Every European roulette bet is available. You can combine as many bets as you like on the same round, within the table limits (₹0.10 minimum, ₹5,000 maximum per bet). The table below summarises the payouts applied.

Bet type Description Payout
StraightBet on a single number35:1
SplitBet on two adjacent numbers17:1
StreetThree numbers on a row11:1
CornerFour numbers in a block8:1
Six LineSix numbers across two adjacent rows5:1
Dozen12 consecutive numbers (1st / 2nd / 3rd 12)2:1
ColumnOne of the three columns on the layout2:1
Red / BlackColour of the winning number1:1
Even / OddParity of the winning number1:1
Low / High1-18 or 19-361:1

The even-money bets (colour, parity, low/high) offer the highest win frequency but the lowest return. Conversely, the straight-up bet is the rarest but opens the door to the bonus phases if the ball lands on a marked number.

How bonus numbers and multipliers are dealt

Once bets are closed, the host pulls the lever of an internal slot machine built into the staging. This machine randomly selects:

  • Between 3 and 7 Monopoly bonus numbers that are temporarily added to the grid. These numbers indicate how many dice rolls you have in the Monopoly Bonus if the ball stops there (usually 2 to 9 dice).
  • Several Community Chest symbols spread across other squares. If the ball lands on one of them, the Community Chest Bonus triggers (a lucky card).
  • Random multipliers applied to certain numbers. Common values: x2, x3, x5. Rare but possible values: x50, x100, x200, x300, x400, x500.

When the ball stops on a multiplied number, your straight-up winnings on that number are multiplied accordingly — without triggering a bonus phase. For example, a ₹100 straight-up bet on 17 with an x500 multiplier returns ₹1,750,000 instead of the usual ₹3,500.

Worth remembering: The bonus numbers and multipliers are dealt after bets close. You therefore see the bonus positions before the ball is spun, which lets you appreciate (but not change) the potential of your bet.

Community Chest Bonus

The Community Chest Bonus is the fastest and most accessible bonus phase in the game. It triggers as soon as the ball stops on a number marked with a winning Community Chest symbol.

  1. The screen switches to an animation showing three face-down cards.
  2. The cards are briefly shuffled on screen (an Evolution animation).
  3. You pick the card of your choice within the time allowed.
  4. The card is turned over and reveals a random multiplier between x10 and x300.
  5. This multiplier is applied immediately to your winnings. The next round then resumes normally.

The phase lasts under 20 seconds and always guarantees a win. That is one of the major advantages of the Community Chest: there is no "zero" card, every pick pays. It is also why bonus hunters treat this phase as a regular top-up to their real-world RTP.

Monopoly Bonus: the animated 3D board

This is the game's signature phase and the one that unlocks the biggest win potential. When the ball stops on one of the Monopoly bonus numbers dealt by the slot machine, the interface switches into a fully immersive 3D environment. Mr. Monopoly appears on screen and takes the controls.

How progression works

The number shown on the bonus square sets how many dice rolls you have (usually between 2 and 9). On each roll, two dice are thrown and Mr. Monopoly moves that many squares around the board. The board faithfully reproduces the classic Monopoly layout: 40 squares in total, arranged around the four corners — GO, Jail, Free Parking and Go to Jail.

What each square does

  • Properties (coloured streets): a multiplier proportional to the real-estate value. The brown streets pay the least, the dark-blue streets (Park Place, Boardwalk) pay the most, typically between x2 and x100.
  • Railroads (the four stations): an instant fixed multiplier (often x5 to x25).
  • Utilities (Electric Company, Water Works): an instant multiplier based on the dice roll.
  • Chance / Community Chest cards on the board: variable effects (an instant bonus, a move to another square, an additional multiplier).
  • Super Tax / Income Tax: a cut to the accumulated multiplier. This is the only "negative" square.
  • Jail: your bonus run can be paused for one roll (but release is possible with a double).
  • Passing GO: every multiplier on the board is doubled. This is the key mechanic that turns an average bonus into a jackpot.

Doubles and extra rolls

If your two dice show the same face (a double), you earn an extra roll on top of your initial quota. This is the event that can extend your time on the board considerably and let you chain several high-value properties together.

Tip: The theoretical potential of a Monopoly Bonus with a pass over GO and several blue properties reaches x10,000 of your stake. That is how a ₹50 bet can generate a win of ₹500,000, the cap imposed per round.

Table limits and win cap

  • Minimum bet: ₹0.10 per bet.
  • Maximum bet: ₹5,000 per bet (outside bets are often capped higher than straight-up bets).
  • Maximum total bet per round: varies by operator, generally ₹1,500,000 to ₹2,000,000.
  • Maximum win per round: ₹500,000 across all bonuses combined.
  • Maximum total multiplier: x10,000 of your initial stake.

These limits may vary marginally depending on the partner casino. Always check your operator's conditions before betting high amounts. Our Monopoly Roulette casino comparison details the specific caps at each platform that accepts Indian players.

Provably Fair and certification

All the random phases (dealing the bonus numbers, selecting multipliers, dice rolls, Chance cards) are managed by an RNG certified by independent laboratories (eCOGRA, GLI). The result of every round is archived and accessible through your player history. The live stream is filmed continuously: every round is saved for audit or dispute.

Evolution Gaming operates under licences from the MGA (Malta), the UKGC (United Kingdom) and the GGC (Gibraltar). These regulators impose strict monitoring of RTP, betting limits and anti-fraud protocols. Indian players should note that online gambling rules differ from state to state, so check your local laws before playing.
